This session will orient new and continuing planning (and zoning) commissioners, elected leaders, and staff to their roles and responsibilities related to planning and zoning. This webinar is designed as a refresher for elected and appointed officials, auditors, administrators and others who are involved in planning and zoning at any level of local government. Topics discussed include considerations for decision-making, non-conforming uses, conditions of approval, and how plans inform and direct decision-making, among several others. Participants are encouraged to come prepared with questions and answers after the main presentation has finished.
