Candace Middlestead has served as City Auditor in Ellendale since May 2012. Prior to coming to the city, she worked as a loan officer for a local financial institution for 37 years. She also serves as the secretary/treasurer for the Ellendale Housing Authority; a board member on the Airport Authority and is the supervisor for the Ellendale Motor Vehicle Branch. Candy is currently the treasurer for Christ the King Lutheran Church and VFW Auxiliary #3545 and is active with the local Relay for Life and a past Chamber board member. She and her husband own Ellendale True Value; have two sons and six awesome grandchildren. Candy has achieved the 110% level in the Leadership Training Program and represents cities under 2,500 in the southeast region.
