Empowering Leaders through Training

The North Dakota League of Cities (NDLC) offers year-round training to help local officials lead with confidence. Municipal leaders can access virtual learning opportunities to earn certification, gain practical knowledge, and tap into expert guidance.

New ADA Title II rules (April 2024) require all state and local governments to make websites, mobile apps, and digital documents accessible.

In 2017, a new state law (NDCC 40-16-03.18) established a training requirement for city auditors. Under this law, city auditors must complete a certification program within one year of assuming office.

The Elected Officials Training is designed to help city leaders build the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to serve their communities effectively.

NDLC connects you with experts on topics that help you lead and manage your city more effectively. Each month, NDLC hosts webinars designed to keep city officials and staff informed, engaged, and ready to put new ideas into action.

Training On-Demand gives you 24/7 access to NDLC’s library of archived webinars and recorded training sessions—covering topics relevant to city officials, staff, and community leaders.
